There are generally two types of Stripper Decks in use today. Hindu Strippers and Belly Strippers. Both function in the same way with one exception.
Belly Strippers have the gimmick along the short ends of the cards, allowing casual looking use while utilizing an overhand shuffle.
Hindu Strippers have the gimmick built along the long edge of the cards, allowing tabled shuffles to be done while retaining the required order of the deck.
Both versions of these decks function in exactly the same manner. There are advantages that each has over the other, and it is often advantageous to use both type of decks.

Things you can do with a Stripper Deck:
Use "sleight of mouth" to perform a card to mouth effect unlike any that you've ever seen.
Use it to control a card instantly to the top or bottom of the deck.
If you can force a card, add it to a regular deck and be able to instantly locate the spectator's card with just your fingertips.
Stripper cards can be used as key cards in regular decks.
Set the deck up ahead of time and be able to INSTANTLY separate colors, suits, and numbers.

Your spectator freely picks a card from the deck and can put it back wherever he wants. He can even shuffle the deck with his own hands if he wants to. You will still be able to find his card without fail.
