I just came back from
Magic-Con 2010 and it was phenomenal. A wide array of fantasic speakers made these four very memorable days. The lectures I personally enjoyed the most were by Juan Tamariz, Chris Kenner, Guy Hollingworth and Chad Long but all lectures were excellent. David Blaine, was also present on all days and very approachable for all participants. He mingeled with the crowds and enjoyed many impromptu magic performances offered to him. John Carney shared some of his phenomenal knowlegde and the event was truly serving the advancement of the art of magic it set out to be.
The guest of honor was the spanish magic legend Juan Tamariz. If you have never seen him lecture or perform, CLOSE THAT GAP - trust me, it is a gap! His insights into magic as an art and performance is nothing short of astonishing. Every part of his performances is thought through and planned out in meticulous detail and the creative planning that goes into the most modane movements and sequences of every effect is truly remarkable. Seeing him perform however is a casual, entertaining magical symphony and in no way looks as planned as it actually is. He is spontaneous and entertaining in his delivery and a truy pleasure to watch. I was lucky enough to get two of his remarable books from my private collection signed and a picture with him and his wife. There is much all magicians can learn from his insights and his lecture alone was worth the price of the whole conference.
Dan & Dave Buck were the driving force behind the entire event in which they realized a dream of theirs five years in the making.
In honor of all presenters we provided a collection of their available products. Enjoy!
